This charming 1000 square foot vacation rental home sits at the end of a mile-long driveway that cuts through over 100 acres of horse pasture land. The guest house features a tastefully decorated master (queen) bedroom, living room, library area, kitchen with dining area, full bath, gas fireplace and a loft area containing two additional single beds, a tv sitting area and a half bathroom. Outside on the large deck is a hot tub, chairs, picnic table and grill.
Watch deer grazing in a nearby pasture while you soak in your private hot tub enjoying the serenity. After unwinding, take advantage of some of the country’s best mountain biking and hiking trails, white water rafting , fishing, the Durango Silverton train , Mesa Verde National Park, wander through the quaint town of Durango with its'one of a kind shops, contemporary reastaraunts and nod to the old west.

A Few Testimonials...
We were greeted by the owner and her dogs upon arrival. Francie was very friendly as were her wonderful dogs. The guest house was beautiful as well as the surroundings. This would be a great place to just stay and relax. We had so many activities planned that we were not at the house very much. Sitting on the deck and watching the sunset was amazing and we did see a deer one evening grazing in a pasture. I have to say the daily visits by the dogs were the highlights. They would come get their treats (provided by Francie) twice a day. Some would eat their treat and leave and one would always stretch out on the rug. We loved having the dogs come by.

I stayed at the HD ranch with family in October and it was absolutely beautiful! Francie was easy to reach and hospitable through the whole process from reserving the place to checking out on our last day. The property is beautiful and her dogs are so sweet. My favorite part of the visit was getting out around sunset and walking around the property with my family. We got to visit with many of her sweet horses. Both her dogs and horses are clean and you can tell that everything on the property is well taken care of. I would definitely recommended a stay at the HD ranch and I know my husband and I will be visiting again!

Loft Vacation Rental
This exquisite loft rental is 1500 square feet and above a gorgeous wood barn. The loft has almost floor to ceiling windows with incredible 360 degree views. Wake up to the most magnificent sunrise or end the day with a lovely sunset while watching the horses play in the pastures. The loft has a huge master bedroom, a large office with bunkbeds, a large bathroom with a bench style shower, great room with dining area and kitchen. Outside is a picnic table and grill for your use.

This place is amazing! Beautiful loft with gorgeous views. Being from Florida I was worried when it said there would be no air. No air was needed. Every day was gorgeous breezes with the windows open. Each night the coonhounds would bay and sometimes you could hear the horses whinny. Francie was so nice. We cannot wait to go back.

What a great place to stay! I won't ever have to get up early to see another sunrise again--it could never top the ones we saw from the loft above the barn. I went downstairs and outside to take pictures but the view wasn't as good so back to the loft where i could watch it from bed. Our teenage daughter wanted to stay in a cabin and the rentals by the river were $350 a night so I looked for the next best thing. We had been in the loft all of 5 minutes when my daughter turned to me and said "thanks dad" and gave me a big hug. That was worth the whole trip. Very convenient to Durango and Mesa Verde. Francie was/is an excellent host. We loved getting to spend some time with her and her 4 hound dogs. It is country living--the ranch is on well water. The water coming out of shower has a sulfur odor but it isn't going to hurt anything. There is filtered water for drinking. If/when we go again--we would choose the loft over the cabin mainly based on the 2nd story views
